A UFO detected on military radar, landed near crucial NATO bases. Around 3:00 am on December 26th, a security patrol near RAF Woodbridge spotted descending lights. Servicemen – Jim Penniston, John Burroughs, Ed Casabang – investigated, finding a glowing metallic object with colored lights. It moved through trees, agitating nearby farm animals. Penniston documented the craft for 45 minutes in a notebook, including sketches of hieroglyphic inscriptions. Deputy base commander Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt and team, armed with an AN/PDR-27 radiation meter, visited the site next day. Radiation readings were taken in the depressions’ triangle and surroundings. Halt recorded the events on a micro-cassette recorder famously known as “The Halt Tape”.
