Instead of using rockets, could we use a giant space gun to launch satellites or even spacecraft into orbit?.

Sounds crazy but the idea has been researched and tested on several occasions and although it might not be suitable for humans it could be a solution to getting raw materials like fuel, water and food into orbit so in this video we look at how it might be done and some of the problems you would encounter along the way.
